Sailing into 2027

Jewels of Southeast Asia with Princess Cruises - January 2027

16 days. Six destinations. One extraordinary way to begin a new year.

The Journey at a Glance

Day 1 — Depart Singapore Board the Diamond Princess at Marina Bay and settle into life on the water. Built in Japan and designed specifically for the region, the ship sets the tone immediately — authentic Japanese cuisine at Kai Sushi, traditional Izumi baths, and the kind of attentive service that makes ocean travel feel effortless.

Days 2–3 — Kuala Lumpur (Port Kelang), Malaysia The Petronas Towers. Vibrant street food markets. The extraordinary Batu Caves. KL rewards those who venture beyond the waterfront.

Days 4–5 — Phuket, Thailand White sand beaches, turquoise water, and the chance to explore the Old Town's Sino-Portuguese architecture — or simply find a quiet bay and do nothing at all.

Days 6–8 — Laem Chabang (Bangkok), Thailand A late-night stay in port gives you genuine time in one of Asia's great cities. Ancient temples, floating markets, rooftop bars, and street food that will recalibrate everything you think you know about Thai cuisine.

Days 9–10 — Da Nang / Hue (Chan May), Vietnam The ancient Imperial City of Hue, the lantern-lit streets of Hội An, and some of Vietnam's most beautiful coastline — all within reach of this single port.

Days 11–13 — Ha Long Bay (Cai Lan), Vietnam A UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most visually extraordinary places on earth. Thousands of limestone karsts rising from emerald water — best experienced slowly, from the deck, with a drink in hand.

Days 14–15 — At sea Two days to rest, reflect, dine well, and watch Southeast Asia slip gently into the distance.

Day 16 — Return Singapore Disembark refreshed, full of stories, and — if experience is any guide — already planning the next one.

Why This Voyage

The Diamond Princess offers access to 17 UNESCO World Heritage Sites across the season, and this itinerary captures several of the most remarkable. Onboard, guests enjoy authentic cuisine at Kai Sushi, Japanese-inspired cocktails, the traditional Izumi bath, and the signature Princess MedallionClass experience — offering personalised service throughout the voyage.

For travellers who want to experience multiple countries without the friction of constant packing, repacking, and airport queues, this style of journey is hard to beat.

A note on accessibility: The Diamond Princess offers accessible stateroom categories and the Princess MedallionClass technology makes navigation and service requests easier than ever onboard. If you're travelling with accessibility needs, I can advise on the right cabin category and shore excursion options at each port.
